Handsome Cooper is our longest term resident cat. He came to MLAR when he did not react well to his owner's pregnancy. Initially, he was very scared after arriving - which is understandable after being in a home his whole life. After a few days, he started to relax and we could see what a sweet, friendly guy he is. He is a playful, active guy who loves to chase wand toys. He likes to be pet and will let you know when he has had enough. He was starting to get stressed in a cage and recently moved to his own "apartment". He is free to roam in this room and seems much happier. He is more relaxed and solicits attention from people. When he is done with interaction, he just walks away and sits in another spot in the room. Cooper would love to be in a home where he can be spoiled. He would do best with cat experienced owners who are able to read his cues and in homes with children over age 14. Cooper knows his perfect home is out there and he can't wait to meet his new family!
