Meet Baybee

All about Baybee

Baybee is a 1 year, 2 months old male Basset Hound/Terrier who weighs 47 pounds and has been with us for 178 days.

If you are looking for a fun, unique looking dog, look no further than our guy Baybee!
He has these adorable short basset hound type legs, but his head totally doesn't "go" with the legs. He is a real character and would be quite the conversation starter around the neighborhood!
We rescued Baybee from the overcrowded city shelter, knowing he needed some TLC, good exercise and some basic obedience training. Baybee was VERY thin when we got him and appeared to have lived ALOT of his time in a small crate. Due to that rough start, he is a little "grabby" with his food and treats and can protect high value treats sometimes. As such, Baybee would be best in a home with kids aged 12+, or adults.

Baybee now walks pretty well on a leash (he is a young active boy, so he likes to pull in the very beginning but settles in once he is moving), appears housetrained and likes some, but not all, other dogs he walks with.

He is super fun to play with in our fenced in yards, he loves to play fetch and has learned to drop on command and will trade his toy for a treat so you can throw it again! He is a smart boy and has come so far (he has filled out, is healthy and happy now!), now he just needs to find his forever home.

Note that many dogs do not reach full size until they are about a year and a half old. The weight listed here is the dog's current weight.
