Meet Sarah
Sarah is an adult female Domestic Longhair/Mix cat who weighs 8 pounds.
Beautiful Sarah came from a home with multiple cats. She must have received very little socialization there, because she was terrified when she arrived. She would hiss and spit when anyone went near her cage. Staff and volunteers have slowly been working with her and she is learning to trust people. Sarah is food motivated which is helpful in dealing with her. She accepts licky treats and will even lick them off of people's fingers. We have finally started to try to pet her a few times. She is a beautiful girl who is so much prettier now that she doesn't look so terrified! Sarah is definitely making some progress. She will need a very patient owner in a quiet home to give her the time and space she needs to continue to adjust.
If you are interested in adopting, please come prepared -- bring a photo ID, proof of current address and a cat carrier. We are open daily 11-5pm.
